My Fitness Journey: Week 4

This is my last installment of My Fitness Journey.

I mentioned in my last post that I am going to limit the amount of posts I create that tell you about this journey. There is only so much I can write every week and as of right now, things haven’t really changed much. I am proud to say that I have hit the one month mark of this journey and I am proud to say that I am excited to keep going. It was difficult at the beginning like I knew it would be, but when you keep pushing through and staying strong, you can make it past those difficult weeks.

I have lost a total of 10 pounds in one month. I have noticed a change to my body, even though it is not much, it is still something. I am starting to gain a lot more muscle and my stamina has increased a lot since I have started. My eating habits are the best that they could be. It’s a lot of changing and finding out what meals work for you and what doesn’t. I most definitely think that is the toughest part about wanting to lose weight. They always say that its 80% diet and 20% exercise and it couldn’t be more true. The cravings have completely gone away, thank god, and I can focus on eating healthy and making sure I get 3 meals and snacking throughout the day.

My water intake has soared immensely. I am now drinking 8 cups a day, thanks to my amazing water bottle that I bought. It helps me keep track of drinking throughout the day by letting me know what times I need to drink at. I will share with you the water bottle in a different post. I didn’t think this would work at first, but it really does as other people I work with will let me know that I need to get drinking or that I am way ahead of schedule (not that it’s a bad thing).

With all that being said, I am still a long way from where I want to be. There is going to be a lot of work to do and I know some days will be tougher than others, but I am willing to do this. I just have to remind myself that I am doing this for me and no one else. In the long run, I will see the results and be happy with all the hard work.

  1. you go girl! It took me 7 months to loose 32 pounds after having my 3rd daughter. For me finding time to exercise was the hardest part being a mom of 3! I actually bought 2 jillian michaels dvd’s from walmart and did the 30 min workouts 3-4x a week. and it worked! would get my workout in during the mornings and it was short and sweet. goodluck on the rest of your journey love!


  2. Good luck!! I’m at 3 months and the cravings still hit me. You can indulge in cravings once in awhile to keep yourself sane, but it’s best to push through them! Water is so, so important. You’re doing great!
