Day 5: Favourite Blush

Happy Easter everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend and ate a ton of food…I know I did hehe.

Day 5 of this challenge is all about the blush. I haven’t really used blush until quite recently, so I don’t have much to choose from. I originally have been using the blush in the duo from E.L.F., but it wasn’t really my fave and I found the colour didn’t really do a whole lot for my skin.

I do love Hard Candy’s Blush Crush in Honeymoon and this is what my post will be about.

Packaging

The blush comes in a white circular package with Hard Candy’s signature writing on the front. The lid opens up and it is very easy to clasp shut. Look at how gorgeous the blush looks!

Product

The blush is a baked blush, so it can be used both dry and wet. There are 4 different type of blush to choose from ranging in colours from light pink to dark. The one that I have is in Honeymoon and it is the lightest blush you can get. I love how light the colour is and how pigmented it looks on my skin. The swatch of the blush really doesn’t do it justice, but you can definitely see the light pink with the shimmer added.

Why I Love It

I love this blush because not only do I use it as a blush, I use it as a highlighter. When applied, it gives my skin a glowing look as it does come off shimmery. I like that I can use this both as a highlighter and blush since I don’t use blush all too often. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has fair skin, as I believe it makes my skin look gorgeous. I really love using this on days where I need more of a glow and a little pick me up 🙂

  1. I have this one too and it’s really nice. I got it with a Hard Candy gift set at 50% off the day after Christmas (best time of year to stock up). It gives a lovely glow. My only issue is I have to be really careful about my pores, because the shimmer in this makes for serious contrast against large pores.

  2. So pretty in the pan! I’ve never tried any Hard Candy blushes but they look like good alternatives to MAC mineralized skin fishes.
Blush is one of my favourite beauty items (I own waaaay too many)! A pop of blush on the cheeks make me look awake!
