Alright, Day 3…here I go!
The primers, yes I have 2 faves, that are my fave have been reviewed before by me, so it won’t be as long of a post. However, I was looking at the other days ahead and every single product that I love has never been reviewed by me yet, so it will be all new stuff!
I have tried primers from every single drugstore brand and none have worked or stuck out to me like these two. They are both unique, as Maybelline’s focuses on blurring blemishes and controlling the redness, whereas L’Oreal’s focuses on illuminating and boosting your complexion.
I am actually out of the Magic Lumi and almost completely out of the Master Prime, so I definitely need to replenish them ASAP.
Maybelline Master Prime
As mentioned above, this is used for blurring imperfections and controlling redness. There are 3 types in this line that all work to blur any imperfections you have. I love how smooth and light weight this primer is. It is very easy to apply, as it comes in a squeezable bottle. I love how it is not oily at all and it creates an even skin tone. It doesn’t clog your pores either which is a major plus! You can use this alone or under your foundation. This bottle retails for $9.99.
L’Oreal Magic Lumi
This was my first love when it came to loving a primer. I originally saw this on youtube and I fell in love. It is a light infusing primer that creates a glowing complexion when used. I love how light weight the formula is and it is very easy to apply as well since there is a pump at the top of the bottle. It has a sheer formula, but when blended it gives your skin the illuminating glow. You can definitely use this just as a highlighter, whether you are applying it under your foundation or on top. This bottle retails for $12.99 US or $14.99 CDN.
On the left is the Magic Lumi and on the right is Master Prime. The lack of product is due to me not having anything left with the Lumi, but I was able to get one last squeeze out. The Master Prime has a green tint to it, as this is what helps with controlling the redness and giving you that even skin tone. They are both sheer and very easy lightweight. I think that is what the main seller was for both of them.
Again, I love knowing what products you use as I am very open minded when it comes to trying new things!
What is your favourite primer?
