I hope everyone had a great holiday and didn’t eat too much (what am I saying, we all did). I hope the time spent with your family was what you needed and now we can all look forward to NYE! I am not sure about you, but I still have no idea what my plans are!
I got some pretty useful presents for Christmas this year, a lot of lotions and bath products, which I am obsessed with! As I get older, the presents mean less and less to me, and the quality time means so much more. So when I am asked for presents, I think of the most practical and useful things I would use on a daily/weekly basis.
My most prize position was from my boyfriend who got me The Mask of Magnaminty from Lush. I am a fairly new customer when it comes to Lush. I received a small gift last year from them, which I never really used and I bought my sister a gift there for Christmas this year. So, it is safe to say that I am a newbie with their products.
I have recently been reading up about their products and I know all of their stuff is natural and they give back to the community, which I love. I am still getting to know about the company, so I don’t want to speak too much about them. However, I have read reviews on some of their popular products and had read some blogs about Lush and decided I needed this mask.
I sent my boyfriend a few pictures of what I would prefer because he would honestly want a list of specific things instead of guessing what I want, which makes it so much easier for both of us! He did get a few bath bombs, the mask and a sample of Snow Fairy Shower Gel, which, HOLY CRAP, smells AMAZING!
I received the mask in the smaller version, since I like trying products in the smallest amount possible just in case I do break out. It comes in a black container and when I open it , there is a nice minty smell, with a green, rough looking texture.
The website states:
“This deep-cleansing face and body mask is made with China clay and fresh peppermint to reach deep down and pull dirt from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation. We add loads of aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe.”
It works like a charm! It stays on your skin for 5-10 mins and it hardens a little bit. You’re supposed to massage it in with warm water when you are taking it off, like most facial masks. My face instantly felt soft, tightened and my redness had significantly gone away. I have read that this is great for oily skin, which I have, so I am excited to see how this will work in the future for me.
All in all, I am obsessed after my first use and I plan on buying a ton more of this product. I am excited to explore more of their products and find some other products that I will love!
Has anyone else used Lush? What are your fave products?
