Yes, you read the title right, I am married!
We got married on March 17th at City Hall in a civil ceremony. We decided to have the wedding ceremony down in Dominican and to make it legal here, as it makes the process easier and we also get a vacation/honeymoon out of it.
With that being said, I never expected a simple ceremony to be so emotional and meaningful for both me and my husband (so weird to say ha). We went into it thinking that this was just for legal purposes, but yet we were both crying and over the moon throughout the whole process. Once everything was done, we went out for dinner with the whole family and had a dinner filled with great food, fun and laughter.
The whole day and night went so smoothly and I never thought in a million years that I could ever feel this way. I am so happy that we get to do it all over again in Dominican where it will be more laid back and relaxed, but I am also so grateful that I will have the memories of us saying “I Do” at city hall surrounded by our family.
After being together for 6.5 years, I didn’t think I could love this man more, but I was proven wrong this past Friday and I’m so glad I was.
We are excited to see what the future holds for us and can’t wait for the Dominican. In the meantime, we are just enjoying life with each other!
Thank you for reading 🙂
p.s. pictures to come!
